Community Guidelines
Welcome to the StrongMoms® Community. This is a growing community where you can post inquiries and insights about the StrongMoms program. Our community is intended to allow you to get your questions answered, share what's important to you, and see what other moms, dads and parents-to-be are talking about. We encourage you to offer support to each other and keep the postings and responses positive in nature. These boards are moderated by our Ambassadors so be sure to check back to stay on top of the latest topics, responses and discussions.
Please note that from this point forward the StrongMoms program will be referred to as "StrongMoms", the StrongMoms community or the StrongMoms web site.
When you create content, you must abide by the StrongMoms' full terms and conditions contained here. Remember to stay on topic discussing StrongMoms, Similac and related issues. The StrongMoms community is monitored. This means that all content will be reviewed prior to being added to the community. Please be respectful and courteous remembering to consider each person's unique situation. You are responsible for your interaction with other members.
Any content that Abbott Nutrition considers to be product complaints may not be posted and those considered to be adverse events will not be posted. In either case, an Abbott Nutrition consumer representative may contact you to assure quality customer care.
The opinions posted on our message boards do not represent the opinions of Abbott, its employees or web administrators.
The StrongMoms Ambassadors are independent advisors who have been compensated for their time but their opinions are their own.
The StrongMoms community is not a place to obtain medical advice. Please see your physician for such guidance.
Promotional materials that serve to solicit or advertise or direct someone to another site for that purpose will not be posted on the StrongMoms Message Board. No advertising or solicitation of any kind will be tolerated.
1. Acceptance of Terms of Service
The StrongMoms community is a part of the Similac.com Website and is therefore covered under the same Terms of Use.
2. Registration Information/Privacy Policy
When you register for StrongMoms, you will be required to provide the following information: your name, street address, e-mail address, zip code, your baby's due/birth date, user name, community display name, security question and password.
Any information provided by you or gathered by StrongMoms or third parties during any visit to the StrongMoms web site shall be subject to the terms of Abbott US Privacy Policy, which are incorporated herein by reference. Click here if you wish to read Abbott US Privacy Policy.
3. Modifications of the StrongMoms
Abbott reserves the right to make changes to the StrongMoms web site without first notifying StrongMoms members. StrongMoms may modify or discontinue the StrongMoms community, any portion thereof, or any services, tools or related products without notice to you and without liability to you or any third party, except as otherwise provided herein.
4. Use of the StrongMoms Community
You alone are responsible for the content of your messages or any materials you transmit to others, and any consequences of such messages. Please carefully consider the information and/or media you choose to post to the StrongMoms web site, including, but not limited to, any message board or any comment, profile or email. Do not continue any conversation online that makes you feel uncomfortable. You should not include your telephone number, street address, email address last name, or any other personal information you don't want other people to have on any area of the StrongMoms Community that is accessible to the general public nor provide such personally identifying information to people you do not know. You further agree that you will not use the StrongMoms Community to post abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, obscene, profane, racially offensive, inaccurate, or otherwise objectionable material or that encourages conduct that could constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any applicable local, state, national or international law or regulation, or encourage the use of controlled substances.
You agree not to post or use the StrongMoms Community to distribute or send any illegal material of any kind, including but not limited to, illegal material in the form of text, graphics, video, programs or audio. Posting content or participating in any form of discussion with the intention to commit any illegal activity is strictly prohibited.
You acknowledge that (i) content on the StrongMoms web site is protected by copyrights, trademarks and other intellectual and proprietary rights ("Rights"); (ii) these Rights are valid and protected in all media and technologies existing now or later developed; and (iii) except as explicitly provided otherwise, these Terms and Conditions and applicable copyright, trademark and other laws govern your use of such content. You may not post to the StrongMoms Community, copy, reproduce, retransmit, distribute, publish, commercially exploit or otherwise transfer any material that infringes any Rights. By submitting content, which shall include your member name, to any "public area" of the StrongMoms web site, including message boards, forums, contests, public profiles or comments, you grant Abbott a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive right (including any moral rights) and license to use, license, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, derive revenue or other remuneration from, communicate to the public, perform and display the content (in whole or in part) worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works in any form, media, or technology now known or later developed, for the full term of any Rights that may exist in such content. Content posted by any user to the StrongMoms Community does not reflect the opinions or views of StrongMoms, Abbott Nutrition, their subsidiaries or affiliates. Abbott Nutrition makes no warranty, whether express or implied, as to the accuracy of any content or material that you send to other StrongMoms members through any StrongMoms service.
The StrongMoms web site, its products, services, social networking tools (as more fully described below) and any other element of the StrongMoms web site are only for the personal use of visitors and members and may not be used in connection with any commercial endeavors except those that are specifically endorsed or pre-approved by Abbott Nutrition in writing.
The StrongMoms web site allows members to create unique public profiles, communicate and share materials with other StrongMoms members through tools that may include email, groups, photograph uploading, content rating, comments, calendars, lists and other tools and services that may be included from time to time. You may set privacy levels to determine whether and who can view your profile.
5. Registration and Password
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your information and passwords. You shall be responsible for all uses of your registration and account, whether or not authorized by you. You agree to immediately notify StrongMoms of any unauthorized use of your registration or password.
6. Product Complaints
Direct any and all Similac related product complaints or inquires to our Consumer Relations Department at 1-800-515-7677. or by clicking on the following link: Contact Us. Fill out linked document outlining the specifics of the nature of your complaint and click submit.
Abbott reserves the right to terminate free access to the StrongMoms community including any or all content, products, or tools with or without notice to you.
