Keeping up with your little runner

  • I spent the first months of my daughter’s life looking forward to not needing to carry her anymore. Fool that I am I thought it would be easier when she could move herself from point A to point B. Now I spend the days remembering when she liked to be carried around fondly, as I run from place to place trying to keep her from breaking the next thing. And yet seeing her “click” how to walk (and run) is still one of the biggest high points of raising her. What was it like for you before, and after, your child began walking/running?

  • I still carry Kenlee around in public because it is so much easier. But at home there is nothing cuter than seeing her little waddle bottom run across the room. She looks like a penguin running a race. :)
