My husband's parents offered to give us a break several times when my son was under a year old and take him for the night. I couldn't bring myself to hand him over for that long...we went on plenty of dates but not an entire night away. I think it's an issue of mommy missing him too much. :-) When do you think kids are old enough to stay over at Grandma and Grandpa's house? --Julie, Strongmoms Facilitator
I think that they are old enough when you are ready...it has so much more to do with mommy being ready than it does the kids being ready. I didn't like to be separated from my little ones either, but when they are a bit older it isn't so bad. You will know when you are ready to have a night to yourselves!!
I think it really is a case of ME not being ready! However, I'm not going to feel bad about it. ;-) It'll happen when it's right. :-)
