Many parents transition from baby food to toddler meals. This allows them the convenience of baby food, while providing age appropriate nutrition. I’ve always served my children homemade food, usually what the rest of the family is eating. This works well for us and prevents the kid food vs. adult food mindset. What works for your family?

I agree that you should try to have them eat whatever the rest of the family does, but we all know there are times when family doesn't eat together for any number of reasons. In those cases, my biggest concern is getting her some healthy protein, so we always have yogurt on hand which is portable and tasty.
