I am trying to breast feed my 3 weeks old baby soley, but its killing me.  She is always hungry and needs the breast in her mouth.  Its impossible to do anything else apart form breast feeding.  I am enjoying it but need a little time for myself.

See if you can get your baby to take a pacifier. She may not need to breastfeed as much as she is, but she may just need the comfort of sucking. Try a few different pacifiers to see if there is one in particular that she likes. You need to give your breasts a break and you should be able to do so by letting her
"suck" on something other than yourself!! As long as she is breastfeeding every 2-3 hours, your milk supply should still be great!

I've nursed each of my 3 children, and I know exactly what ur feeling and goin thru. even though i breast and bottle fed they were more interested in nursing. For sum odd reason, they just love 2 use the breast as a pacifier, and not 2 mention havin the comfort n knowin sum1 is there and holding them.

my baby cracks me up when he feeds because he'll eat for awhile and then its almost as if he gets bored because he'll start playing with my nipple in his mouth.... he'll be gumming and licking and won't wanna eat anymore but if I take the breast away he gets cranky:) how funny is that?

I know how you feel. Just remember, one day all of a sudden she won't want to nurse as much, and you'll miss it. Enjoy every minute, because they change so fast.

You should try pumping that way you get a break and still give her breast milk if it’s really that bad if not try giving her a pacifier or your finger. Try just holding her she just may want you’re loving. My little girl is only a week old and she likes to be held and to just suck on my breast if it doesn’t hurt I let her when it does I give her my finger or the pacifier and she’s happy. I pump because sometimes I need a break to and daddy gets to feed and we both like it. I hope this helps you good luck.
