hello!

I have a 3 month old and at 10 weeks, my breast milk seemed to stop producing.  I still try and breast feed, but when I pump, I am lucky to get 2 ounces! even after pumping for 15 minutes and massaging.  Any advise?  I am mostly supplementing now, but I am still producing milk, but not nearly enough for even one feeding!

Speak with your lactation consultant and OB regarding what advice they might have. They might also think it is okay for you to take herbs or prescription meds to help your supply. The most popular rx is Reglan. There are several herbs. Also, nurse often, drink lots of fluids, pump when the baby takes formula, and use heat/massage. If you still make 2oz then it isn't too late!
