I have a 4 year old and she has been out of pull ups for over 2 years. She can sleep through the night no accidents until just recently. So far this week she has had 3 accidents in the bed. I don't understand it. The only thing I can think of is that maybe me just finding out I am having another one has triger her to do this out of jealousy. She seems very happy that she is going to be a big sister but I don't know what else it could be.
Please help any advice would be great. If this keeps up I think I am going to make an appointment with her doctor.
It probably is just the stress of the change of having a baby. Just try to reassure her that everything is still going to be ok. I have a four year old son and when I was pregnant I tried to spend some extra quality time with just the two of us. You could also try to make sure that you keep her bedtime routine the same and she goes potty before she goes to bed. I hope this helps. Good Luck and congrats on the new baby on the way!
It's likely a stress reaction. Kids can't express themselves to let us know they're stressed (they

This happened with my 8-year-old when I was pregnant. At the time, we had moved twice (which meant changing schools twice), I was pregnant and my husband was undergoing treatment for cancer. We brought her to counseling and it went away a few weeks after the baby was born.
Definitely talk to her pedi to make sure it's not physical, but also consider counseling, as well.
It may be stress or it could just be a phase. My son is four and has been potty trained and in underwear at night for a very long time. We had to buy a pack of pull-ups last month because he got sick and started wetting the bed then. He even had an accident last week and he is 100% healthy. Please do mention it to your pediatrician though to make sure there is not something wrong physically.
