I was watching a show on Tv when this mother gave herself a baby shower. Is it ok to give yourself a baby shower? What do u think?
Personally, I think that giving yourself a baby shower isn't as much fun as having someone you love throw you one. It's like telling people to give you a present on your birthday....If you have a sister, mother, or good friend, chances are they will throw you a baby shower all by themselves and surprise you. If no one does throw you a baby shower, you can have a diaper party....this is where you throw a party for your friends and everyone brings a box of diapers to help celebrate the arrival of your new baby. You can throw this type of party after the baby is born and use it as a way to show your newest bundle off to the world.
I think its ok...my husband and i are going to do the same with the baby shower we are going to have kind of a family reunion / baby shower at the park because my family is not going to do a baby shower for me so my husband is and after the baby is born my mother in-law is going to have one for me too...
If I didn't have anyone giving or offering to give me a shower I would definitely do it myself. Now, I'm not even allowed to be involved or know what's going on with it.
It does not matter to me. Because I already know what I want to do for my shower LOL. But I will let those plan and I have my inputs. but, if you have someone else who wants to spend there monies let them. Just do your registries... SMiling.
