I have been dealing with Breast cancer for the last year and a half. Am dealing with reconstruction surgeries right now. I just found out I was pregnant today & am freaking out!!!!!
Has anyone else out been through cancer & pregnancy??? How did you deal with it, what did your doctor say??
Thank you for anything you can give me.
Working from Home with 2 kids & 1 on the way!!!
Have you talked to your doctor yet? I imagine you will get a wide range of responses depending on type and stage of cancer while pregnant. Is your cancer cured or in remission? How far along are you? I can't imagine how stressful this must be for you. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I was treated for cervical cancer a couple years ago, and when we found out we were pregnant it was because of a check up to make sure it hadn't returned. My situation is a little different, but I understand why you're worried. Your doctor will know how to handle your specific case and my prayers go out to you. Good luck!
BabyNurse3 is right, depending on your circumstances any number of things may or may not be possible. You should speak with your doctor right away for advice and options. I hope you'll let us know what happens and that everything will turn out alright.
Definitely get in touch with your onco and your OB. There are so many factors that come into play. I've known women who have gone through chemo while pregnant and gave birth to healthy babies. On the other hand, if your cancer was estrogen fed and you've been on meds to supress your estrogen production, there may be some hormonal issues that need to be addressed in order to have a healthy pregnancy. Your doctors would know best.
