Like so much with infants, finding the right foods for your baby is often a game of trial and error. They're so little and can't tell you what is going on with them. We have to guess what's working and what's not. It's frustrating, but when you find just the right combination, it's a wonderful thing.

Yes, similac formula is amazing. We tried several with our daughter, but found that the advance with early shield worked best for her.

my two month old little girl is allergic to milk protein therefore she can't have milk or soy based either. we are on similc alimentum as well and it has worked wonders!!! thank God for alimentum, she can sleep now which in turn means i can sleep now

we found out she had an allergy when there was blood in her stool. she also had allergy colitis due to eating the milk based formula.

I'm glad you found something that works for you ! My sister-in-law was very sensitive to breastmilk as a baby and had to have a special formula. Fortunately these days there are many more options available.
