And it's like nothing you do helps and if you lay down you just can't breathe!!!! UGH I TOTALLY feel your pain!

Re: MY RIBS HURT!!!

I remember my wife would have all sorts of randoms pains, especially chest and breathing ones. She would stretch and turn until the baby moved or rolled enough to make the pain lessen usually. I would think certain yoga exercises could help as well as breathing exercises, and I know they have classes for pregnant women at many local gyms and hospitals.

I really like the idea of finding a comfort food such as SumSkybaby's Gatorade (or activity/object) too; something that takes your mind off of the pain whenever it occurs... It can help to not think about the pain when changing position and proper stretching/breathing havent helped.

Re: MY RIBS HURT!!!

So crazy enough, but Gatorade really helped with my aches and pains. I had leg cramps and rib soreness and I would drink a 16 oz Gatorade (or 2) and it help. I don't know the reason, but I thought it might have to do something with the stress your body is under when you are pregnant and the stress of an athlete’s body. For me this helped right away. It also helped with my water retention. I was always thirst and always peeing. The Gatorade made me go less often and more at one time instead of many "mini-trips" to the restroom every half hour.

Also the place I birthed allowed me to bring in my own food and beverage and Gatorade really helped me through labor and delivery. (Now I feel like a commercial, but it's true.)

Best of luck! I hope you find something that works for you!

P.S. - I know there is new G2 since my last pregnany and I haven't tried that yet.

Re: MY RIBS HURT!!!

I remember that well! Prenatal yoga helps a little bit. I also enjoyed rolling around on my yoga ball. I'm sure at 50lbs greater than my normal weight I looked like a beach whale, but it made me feel good. :)

Re: MY RIBS HURT!!!

Oh, how I sympathize. I have asthma and the pressure of the baby put a strain on my breathing on a good day. Then she decided to move her feet to cramp my diaphragm, and for months I could barely breathe, not to mention the chest and rib pain. Unfortunately, there's not much you can do about it until your baby decides he's had enough in that position. Have you found that any one position eases the effects?

MY RIBS HURT!!!

Does anyone else have the worst rib pain ever?? At first I was scared that something was wrong with one of my organs but my Dr had assured me that its my baby in my ribs..
