You could get stacking toys, books with textures and fun things to touch, and things to push/walk with. My son loved toys that had some movement like ball popping toys and things like that. You can also get them toys that they can drop balls in...that was always a big hit. There are several toys that he can push around the house like walking toys..those are always fun. In addition, he would be a great age for a busy box toy or a shape sorter.
