Hello everyone. I am 19 years old, recently married, and recently pregnant! My husband and I are expecting our first child in a month's time! So excited, but oh so scared at the same time!

So, does anyone have any advice on how to pick a doctor? Unfortunately, my hubby and I just made it to the doctor not two weeks ago, and we aren't so sure about him. But with baby coming so soon, we don't really know what to do.

Welcome to StrongMoms! Glad you found us here. :-) Congrats on your marriage and your baby on the way! Such exciting events in your life, for sure. As for a doctor, are there any other doctors in the practice that this one works at? Sometimes you can just try another doctor within that group. What, in particular, are you not sure about? It's important to feel comfortable about your health care provider. I might try, if you decide to switch, looking up reviews for various practices and doctors online. You can also ask friends and family for recommendations - lots of times people you trust have some great connections. Let us know how it goes!

Thank you for the advice! Unfortunately no, there are no other doctors in this particular practice. :( However, our main problem is that we've been cancelled on or rescheduled on several times; sometimes even during our appointment. Luckily, my husband has a very flexible schedule, but having several of his work days chopped up really hurts financially. On the other hand, I think I like the doc as a person, and I think my husband is warming up to him. Well, he said our baby is about 5 to 5.5 pounds and will probably be born a little over 7 pounds! So that's good news! :-D
