Our oldest two girls are 5 and 3 ½ and it seems like 30 times a day my wife and I have to break up skirmishes that result because they both want to play with the same toy. We have addressed this behavior and disciplined them many times but haven’t seen improvement. Does anyone have advice? -- Chris, StrongMoms Facilitator
Oh man do I feel your pain! My kids are the same way and it can wear you down. I would try to talk to the girls about setting a good example and using their words to explain to each other what she wants. I feel like if they can talk about their issues with each other, then fights will happen less often. I also want them to get used to talking through issues and problems because as adults we have to do that a lot. It is tough, but keep on them!
