I am getting ready to set up the baby's room. I wanted to put carpet in it but one of my friends was telling me that I should not and just have regular floors instead due to the dust that the carpet would pick up. Does anyone know if the carpet would affect the baby. I am planning on asking my doctor at my next appointment but it is two weeks away. Any advice would be appreciated.
It is perfectly fine to have carpet if that is what you prefer. The dust issue is only there if your child has asthma or allergies that are bothered by it.
I think it would be fine to have carpet. My daughter has always had carpet in her room and when I found out I was pregnant this time around we tore out all the old carpet and put new down in my son's room too.
Carpet is great, just be sure to vacuum regularly and you should have no problems.
