I had this same problem at Walmart as the first time I attempted to use these checks, the cashier looked at it and me like I was crazy....she got a manager who explained how to properly process the checks and they went through. Perhaps this is the same situation at Sams...Good luck!!
If u have a BJ's close by I would switch cause the except coupons thats why we switched from Sams to BJ's... We like to save were we can.
Sam's should take them also. You need to ask for the manager, they will overrride. A lot of it comes from chasier not knowing how to process them. I ran into that issue as well. They first have to scan it and then punch some numbers off the check into their system. Cashiers don't always know how to run it. Just ask for their superviser's help.
I just used one of the $5.00 checks a few days ago at Sam's club and they took it with no problem. The cashier was actually training a new employee and I heard her say to enter it into the system as cash. But regardless, she took it with no problem, I guess it depends on who you deal with =:)
I've run into this problem as well. Many of the Sam's checkers run the cash as "cash." A few times the check has made it through their system.
I use mine at Costco all the time, never had any problems.
I work at Costco, we accpet them! We take them like checks. It's the only "coupon/check" other than our own that we will accpet.
My walmart will take them but the cashiers are told by the manager to just ring them up as cash since they will not go through the check reader
I've had some issues with their ability to run the coupon. I would suggest you ask the cashier to call the head cashier for assistance.
No, they don't accept them. I wished 'cause I shop there a lot too but it's not the cashiers, it's the store its self that don't take them and so I just either use it at Target or Cubs.
Cashier has no clue how to run it through probably. Costco does not take outside coupons, however they will take the similac ones b/c they are technically a check and need to be endorsed. Instructions are on the back for the retailer on how to use them. My Costco cashier ran it through the check machine like they would a personal check. So as long as Sams Club excepts checks, then they should also take the coupons.
They accept mine just tell them its like a rebate check...some cashiers dont know how to enter them into the cash register...it also gives them directions on the check on how to do it
i just used the check at sam's yesterday. it took a few tries in the check machine. sounds like the cashier didn't know how to run it.
Sams Club is a wholesaler, and does not accept COUPONS..they will accept the check, however. Just ask the manager and they will assist you in an override. :) Hope this helps...
I used to work at Sams Club and Walmart...this should work!
I have used the similiac checks multiple times at Sams club - they will not accept any other form of coupon but the kind that is made into a check.
