I have started back to work and my 7 month old is still nursing. I have an electric pump but I have more luck using my hand pump. I also have a 3 year old and I need to pump as much as possible for my son but I also need to do it as quickly as possible. Anyone have any ideas on how to get my electric...

  • Re: Feeling Judged

I too, planned to exclusively breastfeed. It seemed like when I was pregnant, many older women criticized my decision to breastfeed (especially my MIL who believed the baby would starve!). I read every book I could get my hands on and got lots of advice from friends and family. After I gave birth, I...

  • Problem with breast feeding.

I have been breast feeding my son since he was born in Sept. He is going to be 6 weeks on Monday. For the last week I have had a problem with nursing him. He will latch on sometimes and there are no problems. But sometimes he will latch on for 5 or 10 mins and nurse and then pull off and start screaming...

Pumping is out of the question because it hurts so much and I barely pump anything. I like it that dad can feed her, and I'm fine with...

  • Re: Some advice please...

I'm so sorry you have to make this choice. Mommies carry such a burden. I agree that you don't have to stop completely and honestly the weaning process would be better for both of you if you didn't. You'll ache a little during the day but nurse as soon as you go home and all throughout...

  • Breast feeding woes

So in 2004 I had my son and tried to breast feed him, and the fatty stuff ( the stuff he really needed) wasn't comming out, just the clear liquid. He latched on just fine, and after a few days and pumping to help it out ( I wasn't cloged or anything) I gave up and went to formula feeding. I felt...

  • Re: Despirately need help!

It doesn't always work. My baby never wanted to latch on and I had so many people say that they can get him to latch and not one person could not even the professional. Some babies just don't latch.
