  • Breast pump problems

I have started back to work and my 7 month old is still nursing. I have an electric pump but I have more luck using my hand pump. I also have a 3 year old and I need to pump as much as possible for my son but I also need to do it as quickly as possible. Anyone have any ideas on how to get my electric...

  • Re: Breast feeding to formula and guilt!

Im a new mom my little boy, Cody, born July 17, 2012, and i have had the same problem we started out only breastfeeding it was a tough start, he wasnt latching on very well. He was born via c-section so we stayed in the hospital for a week for me to heal. By the time we left the hposital my milk still...

  • Re: The Hospital Experience

I feel like i had a pretty good experience all things considered. A lot of complications leading up to my c-section delivery, and due to the c-section and magnesium sulfate it definitely made for an ever harder start to nursing. But i found many of the nurses extremely helpful. I ask a lot of questions...

  • Re: Breastfeeding Obstacles & Scheduling Wonders

There is certainly no reason to schedule your baby's feeds. Babies, like us, eat when they're hungry. You seem to be doing a fantastic job following your baby's cues. Your baby may be going through a growth spurt and her fussiness may be due to hunger which would also explain the short naps...

  • Length of time to breastfeed?

I am going to be returning to work soon. I am currently pumping breastmilk at home and initially decided to stop before I go back to work. I feel a little guilty about not providing my son with something so special. I have pumped for almost 3 months. Should I be happy that I was able to at least provide...

  • Breast Pumps...

Does anyone have any recommendation on a breast pump. I am borrowing the Medela Pump in Style from a friend and it is working out well. I am thinking of maybe buying a pump of my own. I will be going back to work in a couple weeks and will be pumping in my car. My neighbor recommended to get a Ameda...

  • Problem with breast feeding.

I have been breast feeding my son since he was born in Sept. He is going to be 6 weeks on Monday. For the last week I have had a problem with nursing him. He will latch on sometimes and there are no problems. But sometimes he will latch on for 5 or 10 mins and nurse and then pull off and start screaming...

  • Re: Some advice please...

I'm so sorry you have to make this choice. Mommies carry such a burden. I agree that you don't have to stop completely and honestly the weaning process would be better for both of you if you didn't. You'll ache a little during the day but nurse as soon as you go home and all throughout...

  • Re: Apprehensive about Breastfeeding.

Hi! Breastfeeding is definitely a personal choice to make and you should not kick yourself either way if you choose not to do it. I am currently 15 weeks pregnant with my third child and have breastfed both and plan to breastfeed this one as well. I think the biggest issue with breastfeeding is that...
