Similac Organic Reviews

Rated 1 out of 5 by from My poor child!! I got this for my baby girl because it said closest to breast milk. I thought it would be perfect as a supplementation. She was in the nicu for 114 days and is not knew to formula, she was on a 24 cal Neosure. Since we stated this she has gotten the worst gas of her life. I’m so disappointed and I think that the raves about the previous reviewers made me think it was the one. Unfortunately it was not.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible New Change Why do companies have to attempt to cut corners and ruin a good thing? My little one has had zero issues with the organic formula until you just changed the formula. Literally NOTHING else in his environment had changed and now he won’t finish bottles and is having horrible gas. So disappointed in Similac for changing the formula for no reason other than go save them money at the expense of infants. And by the other reviews, this is clearly not an isolated opinion.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Formula change The updated formula is terrible. The change was unnecessary. My baby won't even drink half her bottle anymore. Please bring back the original.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible new version The original version of this formula was great. Both my daughters were raised on the old version. My 11 month old will be taken off formula 1 month early due to similac changing the recipe. This new version is like solid foam when you shake it. It gives my daughter horrible gas, constipation, and dry stools. Avoid this new version. It’s horrible!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fussy and gassy Purchased this thinking organic would be a great choice however after 2 days of using this formula my baby is very fussy and gassy. I switched formula and the problem went away I wish I was able to return this as there not cheap and now I have a new tub of formula I can’t use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible gas pain!! I am very disappointed in this product. I decided to try out the organic similac because I’m also breastfeeding and just need to supplement and it seemed like the healthier option. When I switched to this product I seen the negative effects it has had on my son such as extreme gas pain, hard stools, and he’s been very fussy due to this. At this point I’m tempted to try another brand altogether.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not happy My baby is almost 6 months old. I switched from the formula for breastfed baby supplementation because I had stopped breastfeeding, thinking that she needed something different now. I decided to try the organic because how could organic stuff not be the best for your baby. Tuh! In just a few days of her being on it exclusively she has become very constipated. And she’s gone from sleeping as much as 6 uninterrupted hours at night to just seeming restless most of the night. Now I have to try to return the unopened container because I’m definitely not going to use it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No. Just... no. I'm not sure where to begin... If I could give this zero stars, I would. My husband bought this formula about a week ago because it says Organic, and we had been using Similac brand formula anyway that we really like. Immediate thoughts... when you shake it up to mix with water, the formula is very foamy. There are a lot of bubbles, which made our daughter more gassy than usual. Ok, that's fine. We'll just make sure she burps a couple of extra times each feed. I happened to look at the ingredients a couple days after we got this, and noticed that there is sugar in the formula. SUGAR. What four month old needs SUGAR? We decided then to switch back to the non-organic formula which has no sugar or artificial sweetener, but would finish out this tub since it is so expensive. Since starting this organic formula, my daughters stools had changed slightly, but nothing concerning, until yesterday when she passed a hard bowel. Not regular, runny, baby poop - hard, nugget, adult poop. WHAT? This is not okay. I immediately threw away the 1/2 full tub of formula. Moral of the story, just because it says organic doesn't mean it's good. Buyer beware.
