Similac For Spit-Up NON‑GMO Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it! We started off with Pro-Advance, then switched to Advanced from WIC. With Pro-Advance, baby didn't have any spit-up, neither did he have it with mother's milk. Once he turned 1 month and we switched to Advanced, he started to spit up a lot! He had a hard time keeping it down, and he wore 3 sets of clothes a day, and we did his laundry twice in 3 days because he kept spitting up on his clothes, his swaddles, and his 3 blankies. We saw Similac For Spit-up and was thinking about getting it. When I came home from work, I fed him and changed him, and he spat up twice afterwards. I ended up going to the local Kroger's because it was closer and got a jar. First feeding was 2 ounces, and he didn't spit up. I accidentally work him up, and his grandmother gave him another 2 ounces. He still didn't spit up, which was great! I have him another 2 ounces an hour and a half later and he has fallen asleep for almost 4 hours now! Still no spit up! Works wonders! I love it! He'll be getting hungry again soon, but it'll be mother's milk this time. Thank you, Similac!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Our son was exclusively breast fed for 5 months. He has has spit up problems since birth - we were giving him medicine 3 times a day, we would run out of burp clothes daily, and we had to change his clothes and our clothes after each feeding because he would constantly spit up. He was still gaining weight well but it was so stressful and the laundry was a nightmare. With going back to work and having a hard time keeping supply up, we decided to switch him to formula and I’m so thankful we found this product. It was highly recommended by our pediatrician. At first we tried mixing it with breast milk and his stomach couldn’t handle it. The only time he wouldn’t throw up was if he was exclusively on this product. We have slowly started trying again with foods and he is thriving - his stomach just had to get used to the switch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked great! Of course with any product it takes time to work, but after a little while my son no longer throws up after he eats, and if he does it’s the tiniest bit just on his chin. I LOVE similar spit up. Does exactly what it says.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Product EVER, DOES NOT DO AS IT SAYS Wish I could give zero stars. Spit-up nor any other similac products have helped my son. Just making it worse along with other things. This formula has entirely to much sugar which leads to my son not wanting to try any other that probably him.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly recommend Similac for Spit Up!! We have 10 week old twins, who’ve had issues with 4 other kinds of formula!! Started them off with Similac Advance, and it didn’t sit well with either of them. Their doctor said try Enfamil Nurtamigen ... that was the WORST formula, by far!! Not just the smell was bad, but it tore their tummies up!!! From there, we were told try Similac Alimentum, it was better than the Nurtamigen, but they were still having issues with diarrhea and spitting up. We decided we don’t need to visit the doctor, to try a new formula, so we went with the Similac Soy. It was okay, but the diarrhea was still there. Now we are solely on Similac for Spit Up, and it is amazing!!! Our girls haven’t been more content, and neither have had diarrhea or spit up. Like many have stated, the formula is thicker, so using the Dr. Brown’s nipple size 2 has been our best solution!! If we try to make the bottle by hand, it’s a little foamy, but if you plan ahead, it all settles. For our regular bottle making, we use the Baby Brezza ... our bottles always come out perfect, and there isn’t an issue with foam!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This formula is a blessing! From birth my baby started on Similac Pro-Advanced and she was constantly spitting it up. She was switched to Similac for Spit-up while we were still in the hospital. After a few feedings she had stopped spitting up. I'm extremely thankful for this formula! Thank you!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it My son was on advance similac & he kept crying for 3 days & spitting up and hardly drinking his whole 4oz took him to his dr today & she switched his formula. Wow my son is drinking his whole bottle now(4oz) . Not every 5/10 min like he was doing those three last days with the advance !!! & he’s so calm now sleeping peacefully. It also isn’t foam. Mines doesn’t even have that

Rated 3 out of 5 by from On the fence about this product I'm not sure how I feel about this formula. My little one is still spitting up and now seems like he is constipated.we have gone from ok m neosure to sensitive to alimentum and now this only plus is the smell is ten times better then the alimentum.I just hope we soon find the right formula for my little one that helps with is reflux and doesn't cause other issues.I also dont like that I cant find ready to feed or on the go in this formula.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product My baby is 4 months now and we been using this products for 2 months .. she wasn’t able to hold nothing on her tummy and we tried this product and it was like magic.. it was such a change ..

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Made Spit Up Worse We have went from Pro Advance to Sensitive to Nutramigen back to Sensitive to Similac for Spit Up. Spit up started getting worse after Similac for Spit Up and my son seemed grumpy. I’d rather deal with spit up then have a grumpy baby. Going back to Sensitive and dealing with it

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Semi helpful My pediatrician recommended this for my 6w old. She didn't spit up much but had silent reflux, and was just miserable. She isn't as miserable now, and doesn't have the reflux, but she is SO GASSY. and she barely poops now! I'm going to talk to the doctor again about switching to a different Similac, cuz poor little one is miserable farting ALL day lol. The product did what it said tho! And yes it clogged all my doctor brown bottles and nipples, I have to use Philips Avent bottles size 2 nipple for her to drink it. It's a little fast coming out but she handles it. Any other bottle clogs real bad idk why. And it is rather foamy maybe that is causing the gas?? But I still will always recommend Similac!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product is bad It is allll foam.. i was wondering why my son wasn't drinking it. There was nothing coming out of his bottle so i decided to chek and even if i squeeze the nipple nothing comes out its all foam.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best thing I found I can not believe my pediatrician did not know about this product to recommend. We tried so many other formulas before this one and the same constant spit up happened. My baby was healthy but kept spiting up Brest milk all the formulas we tried. And we were all just tired of doing laundry three times a day. Untill my husband happened to come across this Similac for spit up at a Walmart and decided to grab it. Thank you so much for this product it has saved us so much grief and my baby is actually feeding regularly now instead of every 10 minutes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mixed Results My LO has had severe acid reflux since birth and the Dr recommend we use Similac For Spit Up. I think overall it did help out for the first month and a half or so but for the last few weeks we’ve been battling with her spitting up WAY more then normal and now constipation also. I mix the formula per mfg instructions and shake each bottle to the point where my arms hurt and she still spits up clumps at times. Overall I would say that without this formula my LO would probably have a lot worse spit up and acid reflux. All though I know it’ll never happen I do wish it would work 100% of the time

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Life saver!! We love this formula it’s the only we we can take without throwing up and having explosive diapers. But it’s so foamy even after a rest period my daughter gets so much air it makes her gassy. I’ll choose gassy any day over throwing up though!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mixing This formula has significant reduced my sons spitting up. But it's so foamy even after the recommended 2 minutes of sitting. Am I doing it wrong?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love this but Working great for my daughter but I wish I could find bigger cans seems like it’s the only one they don’t make the bigger size in

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Made my baby’s spit up worse I’m sure this works for a lot of babies, and for them I’m really happy, but this is not working out for my baby. I switched her 48 hours ago and the sped up has gotten even worse. She didn’t sleep at all last night and she won’t stop crying. Not only that, but it clumps in the bottle and won’t dissolve. So glad I wasted $28 on formula to not be able to use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this product My daughter has acid reflex and this formula has been great! It has reduced how much she spits up to practically nothing and she absolutely loves it. The only down side is that’s it’s hard to find. I’ve never tried the ready to feed, it’s not sold anywhere near me so I buy the powder. I have a formula mixer so it makes it very smooth. However I do wish they had ready to feed bottles! We had an incident with daycare over feeding her on a day my mom picked her up so she ended up having to find a store and buy a new box. Also stores near by have promotions going on sometimes except on this particular kind. Overall love the product just wish their was bottles for on the go or to keep as an emergency.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Absolutely love it but have had to buy a formula mixer due to clumps... wish the ready to feed was still available

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powder vs ready to feed. Ready to feed prefered. My LO is 6mo. and drinks both the powder and the ready to feed. They say theres no difference but I feel the ready to feed is a lot smoother for her to drink. The powder you have to mix well and even when it foams and you let it sit, its not as good as the ready to feed. I buy the powder because its hard to find the ready to feed. The ready to feed is worth buying if it helps my LO. Or is there a trick to mixing the powder hmm?...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Formula I've tried a lot of formulas, but so far this one I have seen reduce my baby's spit up problem! I'm happy about that! The only few things I absolutely hate about this formula. Is the mixing! This formula does NOT mix well. If you put the water in first then the powder, the powder just sits on top of the water and doesn't dissolve until you shack it hard. And then sometimes the clumps stick inside the nipple or other parts of the bottle. Frustrating really! The other thing is, I really hate that this formula doesn't have the HMO like the others you have! Why is that? Since I couldn't breastfeed long, that eased my mind to know the formula had that like breastmilk. But this one does not and its disappointing that to cure one thing, you have to sacrifice another...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So upset this isn’t available My baby is 3 months old and at about 10 weeks was diagnosed with acid reflux. We have went through about 5 different formulas in these 3 mos and NOTHING has worked for her. I finally tried the ready to feed for spit up and it’s been a life saver she’s been doing perfect and she loves it... now I find out that similac isn’t making the ready to feed anymore so I tried the powder and she hates it she is back to throwing up almost her entire bottle! I went to every store in town and bought the last of their ready to feed! I am so upset! Please bring it back!!!!!!!!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Indissoluble formula My daughter’s pediatrician recommended this to her gain weight and help her keep the milk in. She spit up more than the pro-advanced. Not only she spits up, the formula doesn’t dissolve all the way. It clogs up her anti-colic part of the bottle. She spit up clumps of the formula. I changed her about 4 times after each feeding. She can’t keep this formula in. I brought two tubs of this and I can’t return it. Its so dang expensive. I keep thinking she needs time to adjust to this formula but it’s been two weeks. I will never purchase this product for my LO ever again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Helped but bad packaging This formula definatly helped my baby alot but while trying to open it the foil tab ripped as I pulled harder and almost half of the formula spilled out which is a bummer because this is around 29 bucks at target.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product works great for my LO My LO had a spit up issue and was also on Similac sensitive for tummy problems. After switching, there were no new tummy issues and the spit up finally is under control. He also seems to stay fuller long on this brand as well which is a plus!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from this product is amazing This formula has gotten my daughter off of all her acid reflux medication and is no longer spitting up I give it 5 stars that has helped tremendously
Date published: 2019-01-19
Rated 4 out of 5 by from helps with spit up, but seems to clog bottle nipples. If any of the dry formula touches the nipples, the formula doesn’t pass through. I don’t shake the bottle right away, I swirl it until it seems dissolved and then shake it, but it almost always clogs. It’s to get it cleaned afterwards. I’ve alresdy changed from the slow nipples to medium. Fast would be too fast for my 2 month old. It’s super frustrating when you have a hungry baby. I always have to stop to clean the nipple several times. How can this be resolved?
